Andy Scheer EP Finished

Yup- it’s just hit the streets, and is available for download here. Andy is from this area, but has been living in Atlanta for the last little while. He is managed by good friend Nick Weaver, who is an up-and-coming local music impresario, who heads up Dreamweaver music.
Andy had some previously-recorded songs ready to mix, and we were able to use 2 of the 5 that we were sent, but alas- the performance of the band in the others wasn’t quite where Nick wanted it, so he brought Andy up here to re-record the other songs. I played all of the bass, some of the electric guitars, and my son Aaron played the drums (he’s quickly become my go-to drummer for a lot of songs recording here!).
We were able to use the MXL Ribbon on the Fender cab with happy and pleasing results, and I even dropped in a room mic for some Stones-style chord hits.
Andy has a cool, clear tenor voice that just screams “early 70′s singer-songwriter” (pun intended), but his style is diverse and modern enough for any shoegazer or indie fan to listen to, yet is very rootsey and Americana, and occasionally tinged with gospel influences. As usual, it’s a pleasure to be able to work with good musicians, and all the best to you, Andy.
