What do you do with a drunken sailor?

That’s the question we should all be asking after this big, full-length CD is released! The name of the duo is “Gasta”, which in Celtic roughly translated means “fast; quickly”- and that’s what they do all right!
Made up of Nathan Wright on violin and Jon Misner on vocals, bodhran, dejumba, irish flute and pennywhistles (did I miss anything?) they are an Irish/Celtic duo based in West Michigan. They played a full 14 songs in their own style, mostly live, and yours truly added bass, guitar, and a little tambourine to boot. Of course, the title of this post is one of the songs on the CD- played very fast, of course… time to dance.
We also upped the ante a little, but that’s a surprise for later… and their good friend Josiah Swanson came down with them to video the whole process.
We had a great time, and as soon as the mixes are approved for certain I’ll upload some samples. “Gasta”- full speed ahead…
I can’t wait- here’s a taste of Gasta for ye…
