Blast from the not-too-distant past.

I was rendering some mp3′s today when I spied with my little eye one of the many Grave Robber folders in the “TBush Recording folder. I hadn’t listened to this stuff in a long time, and I got the biggest ear-to-ear as I listened to “Tell-Tale Heart” from their 2009 CD Inner Sanctum. It’s got the perfect blend of humor and a big, broadway musical approach.

I found this on YouTube: a fan-made video of the song (that is so cool, BTW). That’s my own vocalizing on the BGV’s, and on the 50′s-style guitar.  Listen as the vocals build at the end, beginning with the group harmonies at 3:11, the doo-wop bass at 3:30, and then my fake Franki Valli/Elton John high parts coming in at 3:42. This whole CD was so much fun to record and mix, but this song topped it all off! Just click on Mr. Wretched’s picture below to see the vid.
